Tile Roof Important Facts to Know!

 

 Here, roof the slope is 1.3/12  and according to codes and specifications essentially a "flat" roof and that is why there should not be a roof installation with materials that require a "steep" slope or 2.5/12 and above.

A certified roofer would know this.

Why This Is a Problem

Tile Roofing is considered "water-shedding" rather than "waterproof." They depend on a steep enough slope for water to run off the surface quickly.

When installed on a low slope such as this one in the picture, even the smallest amount of debris accumulation (which will happen even faster with the low roof slope) will cause roof leaks.
